Summary of 3 Days Camping Safari to Burigi Chato National Park
Burigi-Chato National Park is recently gazetted as a National Park Burigi Chato combines third former Game Reserves into one National Park that is now 4,707 sq km making it the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania. Stretching from Lake Victoria in the East to the Rwandan boundary in the West, BurigiChato is an enormous piece of the wild country encompassing freshwater lakes, long hills, rocky crags along escarpments, deeply set valleys lined with forest, open plains, swamps, rivers, flood plains and hundreds of square kilometres of medium and tall grass wooded savanna – mostly combretum and Terminal known as Miombo. How to get there The nearest local town is Chato which has an International Airport, and private charters are possible to an airstrip near the Nkome Ranger Post beside Nkome area, or to the Birahamulo airstrip. Accessibility by road to the park is also possible as the park is connected to close towns including Chato and Karagwe Climate and SeasonsThis part of East Africa has two rainfall peaks, November / December and another in March / April, with dry weather from June to September. Itinerary Description By Day
DAY1: MWANZA TO BIHARAMULO.
We leave Mwanza in the morning at 7:00 am and proceed to Biharamulo with our lunch boxes, we drive on the tarmac road to reach Biharamulo at 258 km, (4-5hrs drive).
After lunch at Biharamulo, we proceed to Nyungwe gate onwards to Nkome public campsite; the total kilometres from Mwanza to Nyungwe is 338km.
Dinner and overnight at Nkome Public Campsite: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
DAY 2: ANOTHER FULL DAY SAFARI IN BURIGI CHATO NATIONAL PARK.
We spend two days here to explore more the park and do our game drives close to Lake Victoria. The park is surrounded by the wondrous water of Kagera River which separate Rwanda and Burigi Chato National park. the pictorial beauty of the Kagera River which is a delight for the eyes of any tourist. Has a wide collection of wildlife and some of them are elephant, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, overnight at Nkome Public Campsite.

DAY 3: BURIGI CHATO NATIONAL PARK TO MWANZA.
Morning Breakfast and start your smoothly journey back to Mwanza for your Home Flight or connect onto Mount Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar to extend your holiday.
